  • When is check-in/check-out?

    Check-in is after 3PM, and checkout is by 10AM. We do offer early check-in/late check-out for a fee. Upon booking, at the payment screen there will be a list of add-ons such as early arrival/departure. You can select at the time of purchase, or add on later simply through texting us at 512-956-8699.

  • When will I receive the address/check-in instructions?

    You will receive the property address and detailed instructions 48 hours before check-in via email. We do not release property details earlier for your security during your stay. If you book your stay less than 48 hours in advance, the address and check-in instructions will be released immediately upon payment.

    If you book via a booking platform (Airbnb, VRBO, etc) all communications will be through your booking platform app.

  • What amenities are provided?

    All linens and towels are provided, as well as all utensils, dishware, pots/pans, cooking utensils, drip coffee maker, blender, microwave, toaster, cooking oil, salt, pepper, dark roast coffee, creamer, sugar, and tea. Each unit is also provided with:

    - Hairdryer

    - Washing machine pod (with exception of Orion #3)

    - Dishwasher pod (with exception of Orion #3)

    - Iron + ironing board

    - Pool towels (Astra, Orion, and Celestia properties)

  • What spaces are shared/private? How private is my space?

    During your stay, your entire unit/space will be entirely your own. You will not share any indoor spaces with other guests.

    However, you may be next door to other guests and share a wall. We insulate any adjoining walls between units to prevent noise transmission between groups.

    Guests of Astra + Orion properties share outdoor amenities (pool, grill, dining area, and lounge areas).

    Guests of Luna properties each have their own south-facing private back patio.

  • How do keys work?

    All of our properties utilize an electronic smart lock. Your unique smart lock code will be released around 1PM on the day of check-in. To open the door, simply enter the code into the keypad. You will hear a whirring sound. Wait for the door to finish unlocking before turning the knob. To lock, simply pull the door shut and press the “lock” symbol on the keypad.

    If you make a mistake, you can press the “lock” button to reset the keypad and try again. If you enter a wrong code, the keypad will flash red for a few seconds. Please wait for all flashing to stop, then press the lock button to reset the keypad, and finally enter your code once again.

  • Is there a pool? Is it heated?

    All guests of Astra, Orion, and Celestia have access to a heated pool, grill, and outdoor lounge/dining spaces. The pool temperature is variable and can be set to specific temperatures upon request.

  • Is there parking?

    All units have 2 parking spaces provided, with the exception of Orion #3, which has 1 parking space. There is additional street parking free of charge as needed.

  • Do you allow pets?

    While we love your furry friends, unfortunately all of our properties are pet-free. We can make exceptions for service animals, and on a case-by-case basis, in which case there will be an additional pet cleaning fee.

  • Is there a security deposit?

    Our Astra and Orion homes do have a $250 security deposit per stay. This will show as a credit authorization hold on your credit card at the time of booking, and will be released 1-7 business days after your checkout.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

    We accept all major credit cards via Stripe card processor. For add-ons, we can charge card, as well as accept Venmo/Paypal/Cashapp/Zelle/Check.

  • Can you drink the water in South Padre?

    The water in South Padre/Port Isabel is drinkable. However, due to the high salt content in the area, the water can sometimes taste salinated. We provide 2 bottles of water per stay, and recommend purchasing water during your stay.

  • Are you close to the SpaceX Starbase/launch viewings?

    We are 35 miles from Starbase in Boca Chica, Texas. However, some of the best sites for rocket launch viewings are just a couple blocks away, as launches must be viewed a certain distance away for safety reasons. Check out our maps tab for recommended locations!

  • Do you have any recommendations for food/drink/fun things to do?

    There is PLENTY to do in South Padre Island and Port Isabel! Check out our Things to Do tab for a list of recommendations.

  • Do you allow guests under 21?

    All of our properties are age 21+. We can make exceptions for guests aged 18-21 on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to us for further enquiries.

  • Do I need a car when visiting?

    South Padre is a relatively small and walkable island, so while a car is helpful, it is not necessary for your stay. There are several locations to rent golf carts and slingshots, and there is also a free bus servicing select locations in South Padre Island and Port Isabel. Port Isabel is just across the bridge from South Padre Island, so a car is recommended if you’d like to access South Padre Island.

  • What if I need to change/cancel my booking?

    Reservations are fully refundable within 30 days prior to your check-in date. Reservations are partially refundable (50%) within 14 days prior to check-in.

  • What are the Hotel Tax, Occupancy Tax, and Service Fee?

  • Why am I charged for extra guests?

    $15/person /night

  • How do payments work?

    50% at booking, 50% 5 days before check-in.
